Sky-High Fashion: Cynthia Rowley to Design United Uniforms

World-famous designer, Cynthia Rowley, has been tapped to create new uniforms for United Airlines employees.
The designs, which will be sported by everyone from flight attendants to maintenance employees, will be created with both fashion and function in mind. Modern aesthetics will be incorporated into designs—along with breathable, durable fabrics—to update the airline’s current image.
“New uniforms, with an improved look and feel, are a key investment in our company and our people, who are the face of United,” said John Tague, President of United Airlines in an official press release. “We have chosen Cynthia for her keen sense of style and for her commitment to involving our employees' important input throughout the design process.”
Rowley, who previously appeared as a judge on “Project Runway”, is noted for her whimsically feminine design style and affordable prices. The award-winning designer has dressed countless numbers of Hollywood’s fashionable starlets, including Julia Stiles, Kristen Stewart, and Scarlett Johansson.
“Travel is a huge part of my life and authentic to our brand,” said Cynthia Rowley in a press release. “It's such an exciting opportunity to design for United, a company with a rich history, expansive global reach and, like myself, Chicago roots.”
The decision to bring Rowley on board is only one of the investments United has made in their future. The company has already begun work on improving their aircraft interiors, and is striving to better their on-time reliability performance and customer satisfaction.
Rowley will kick off a month-long world-wide tour of open forum meetings with United employees to gather input for the new designs, which will debut in 2011.
The collaboration is another project in Rowley’s already-diverse portfolio, which includes approximately 50 stores located throughout the world, a recently debuted kiddie collection for Babies’R’Us, and a line of home accessories, branded Swell, sold at Target stores nationwide.

Layover Allowance Range: AED 288 to AED 384 per day. This

rosters

CORRECTION
I have just been told that the position I posted for Afghanistan is for Flightworks...it requires a security clearance. If you do not have one, do not bother to apply there is no time to get the clearance. If you have one, go for it, the pay is great!

Armando Alvarez said he wanted to use his miles to upgrade to first class on a flight from Dulles to Connecticut. Instead, the Best Buy vice president said the gate agent told him that he was dressed "too casually" for seating in first class, the story said. Alvarez has sent e-mails to United Airlines and the airline's board of directors, but he has not received a response from them, the story said.
"I was humiliated and embarrassed," Alvarez, who is not seeking compensation, told myfoxdc.com. "If this happened to me and I'm a United Airlines Red Carpet Club member then I believe it's happening to other people and this must stop."

According to various reports, NY1 political anchor Carter was on the way to the bathroom when he bent down to tie his shoe. When he stood up, he bumped into a flight attendant, who called cops and a ground operator supervisor and threatened to throw him off the plane, officials told the NY Post.
Carter is facing charges of domestic abuse and was leaving LaGuardia for Kansas City with his wife to "get away," the story said. He volunteered to leave the flight on his own to avoid any more problems, the story said, and he and his wife flew out on the next flight.
