Tasks
The Inflight Duty Lead supports the Inflight and System
Operations teams by proactively working, resolving and
communicating issues related to regular/irregular
operations, emergency response and manpower staffing.

Essential Functions:
* Respond to Inflight Crewmember operational needs on a
24 hour basis (providing timely Crewmember
advocacy/resolution on scheduling, logistics and IROP
issues)
* Provide timely and detailed briefings to Inflight
Leadership regarding emergency response, weather
information, Crew manpower (absences, etc.)
and Inflight Crewmember issues/concerns to uphold
operational integrity
* Serve as liaison to System Operations to ensure on-time
departures and track, trend and monitor the delay codes
attributed to the Inflight Service Department
* Support Crew Services by evaluating Crewmember
requests for removals from trips and coding based on the
Inflight Scheduling section (FAM chapter 15); Acts as
Inflight subject matter expert on Inflight Work Rules and
their interpretation
* Act as Manager designee and is accountable for late
night weekday and full weekend oversight of all Inflight
Bases and coordinates with appropriate Base Manager
when necessary
* Serve as Inflight Service?s Irregular Operations (IROP)
coordinator in System Operations, Crew Bases, Crew
Services and the IROP Communications Center
* Coordinate and send IROP updates to Inflight Crew
Bases as listed in Ops Plan B
* Assist Inflight Crewmembers reporting on the job injuries
* Manage and oversee one of 5 Inflight departmental
programs which include:
* Inflight Charters (works with JetBlue Charters
department to coordinate and oversee Inflight
Crewmember participation)
* Inflight Work Rules (Schedules, facilitates and provides
recommendation of Crewmember driven feedback to
annual Inflight work rules review)
* Inflight Reserve Working Team (Schedules, facilitates
and provides recommendations on Crewmember driven
feedback as it pertains to Reserve Crewmembers)
* Inflight Language of Destination Program (Schedules,
facilitates and provides recommendations on LOD
Crewmember feedback to the Language of Destination
program)
* Participate as an Inflight Leadership Liaison with the
Inflight Scheduling Committee
* Perform Inflight Crewmember duties as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or General Education Development
(GED) Diploma
* Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
* One (1) to two (2) year experience in a supervisory role
managing performance
* Three (3) to five (5) years customer service experience
* Industry experience preferred
* Must qualify and maintain currency as a JetBlue Inflight
Crewmember
* Complete fluency in written and spoken English
* Successfully complete JetBlue Airways Inflight Training
Program, including Initial Training and Annual Continuous
Education Programs
* At least twenty (20) years old
* Vision corrected to 20/20
* Two (2) years customer service experience
* Able to lift fifty (50) pounds from floor to above the
shoulders
* Able to reach six feet three inches (6?3?) without shoes
* Able to be away from home for up to five (5) nights and
six (6) days in a row
* Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the
ability to travel in and out of the United States on a frequent
basis
* Able to relocate to within one-hour driving time of
assigned domicile
* Able to work varying schedules including reserve duty,
weekends, evenings, holidays, and last minute drafting
* Must be well groomed and maintain a professional
appearance
* Regular attendance is required
* Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue

* Must pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-
employment drug test and criminal history records check.
* Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the
position is located
* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time
permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist
with light cleaning of the aircraft

work environment and take control in unexpected situations
* Strong organizational skills with proficiency in project
oversight demonstrated
* Proficienct in Class Bid, Navtech PBS FLiCA and other
applicable scheduling and operations applications

per week, some weekend coverage
