Responsibilities

Requirements

Training
Those selected for employment must successfully complete a paid training program at our Flight Attendant Training Center in St. Louis, MO. Training includes classroom work, homework and training flights. This may require some training on the weekends.

Training includes aircraft familiarization, city codes, regulatory announcements, beverage service, emergency procedures, first aid, etc. Progress in learning is evaluated by written and practical examination. A minimum passing score of 80% must be maintained throughout the entire training session.

Reserve Schedule
Domicile seniority determines how long a FA will be assigned to reserve. New FAs should expect to be assigned a reserve schedule for the first 6 months of employment.

Schedules
Flight Attendants will be awarded a schedule according to seniority. The FA must be able to work any shift, any day, or any hour. Overnights are required, and may be multiple days in length. Scheduled minimum 9 days off per. Schedules bid month or two months, even quarterly in advance.

Uniforms
Uniforms are required to be worn while on duty and will be ordered during training. The FA is responsible for 50% of the uniform cost, if remain employed with GoJet for 1 year. Uniform expenses may be payroll deducted. If employment is less than 1 year, 100% of the uniform cost will be the FAs responsibility.

JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the safety and service of passengers on board
Mesaba Airlines aircraft and compliance with all Company policies,

Achieve and maintain FAA flight attendant certification and perform

ESSENTIAL JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent

What hours do Cabin Crew work?
The length of your days will vary, depending on how many sectors
you are rostered to complete. A sector is a one way flight. The
number of sectors may vary and is dependent on the length of the
flight. You may have to start as early as 5.00am (which could
mean getting up as early as 3.00am). You may finish as late as
11.30pm. Some night stopping away from your base may be
rostered. Charter flights may require reporting for duty/finishing
at any time of the day or night. In addition, your working day may
be affected by delays or changes to your flights.

How do rosters work?
Cabin Crew are given a roster four to eight weeks in advance.
Duty days will vary between early starts and late finishes, the
number of sectors worked and may include standby duties at home
or at the airport. The hours of work are governed by Civil Aviation
Authority regulations. Time off will vary and you should expect to
work weekends, Christmas and bank holidays as the airline
operates 365 days of the year. Published rosters may change due
to operational requirements.

What are the career prospects?
You will join as Cabin Crew, and you can be promoted to more
senior positions such as Flight Supervisor, Cabin Service Manager
or Cabin Service Performance Manager. Promotion is based on
merit and subject to vacancies. Some posts require a minimum
period of service, although previous flying experience may be
taken into consideration. Outside of operational Cabin Crew, there
are other opportunities within cabin services or other departments
and all vacancies are advertised internally.

The ad stated that they wanted an American. 3 months on one month off. They want a photo but I would not send one until this company can be verified. They want female, with VVIP experience with Royalty.... No age restriction.... but guessing for the UAE they want under 35. Will post if I find out anything else about them. A minimum passing score of 80% must be maintained throughout the entire training session.

Reserve Schedule
Domicile seniority determines how long a FA will be assigned to reserve. New FA's should expect to be assigned a reserve schedule for the first 6 months of employment.

Schedules
Flight Attendants will be awarded a schedule according to seniority. The FA must be able to work any shift, any day, or any hour. Overnights are required, and may be multiple days in length. Scheduled minimum 9 days off per month on reserve.

Uniforms
Uniforms are required to be worn while on duty and will be ordered during training. Total cost is approximately $500 and FA's will receive a $20 per month uniform credit. Upon separation, the company will deduct full amount of any negative balance.

Cabin Crew Manager (CM)

The Cabin Crew Manager (CM) is appointed by the General Manager Cabin Services (GMCS) and reports to him.



Purpose

The CM is generally to oversee their nominated base and act on behalf of the GMCS and assist him in his stated task. The deputy for the CM will be the Cabin Training Manager (CTM) or GMCS. The CM also deputises for the GMCS. In addition the CM has specific responsibilities as listed below.

Responsibilities

The CM is to:
a) maintain and distribute all Cabin Crew Notices; Memoranda, company information and general mail to the nominated base
b) prepare and issue Cabin Library documentation for all aircraft
c) be responsible for the discipline of all cabin crew
d) be responsible for performance monitoring of all Cabin Crew via cabin crew assessments records and advise the GMCS where individual performance merits concern or praise.
e) manage payroll information flow for all cabin crew
f) arrange for the issue and control all uniform items for each nominated base
g) hold regular forums with Cabin Supervisors and senior crew in order to improve working relationships and gather feedback for improvement of cabin service techniques
h) monitor the progress of all Flight Reports and Irregularity Reports, report any safety related issues to GMCS
i) ensure that the flying duty rosters and actual flying duties of the cabin crew are in compliance with the Company Flight Time Limitations (FTL) scheme
j) ensure that crew control and rostering are advised whenever a crew member is not available to fly
k) monitor cabin crew sickness rates
l) conduct line performance monitoring as required by the GMCS
m) perform duties that may be required from time to time by the GMCS

I. SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for
managing the World Airways Flight Attendant employee group,
including the management and professional development of the In-
Flight Supervisory staff.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Manages the activities of the In-Flight Supervisors including
scheduling, ongoing coaching, development and performance
management.

Monitors In-Flight Supervisor flying and manages operational
activities, including reviewing all Supervisor flying and trip reports,
reviewing In-Flight Reports from In-Flight Service Managers, and
identifying operational concerns. Ensures follow-up and resolution
of operational issues.

Manages disciplinary and administrative hearing process and
maintains accurate records of hearings, System Board of
Adjustment decisions and arbitrations and grievances.

Resolves disputes involving Flight Attendants and Schedulers via
access to Freedom System Manager (telephone recording system)

Departmental responsibility for monthly and permanent base
swaps, flight attendant seniority list, job shares, leave of absence,
and other IBT contractual requirements.

Reviews and approves non-automated Flight Attendant Special Pay
Requests and administrative expense statements for accuracy and
cost center coding.

Responsible for the In-Flight Newsletter

Serves as a member of the Companys Flight Attendant Grievance
Committee.

Acts as the departmental liaison with Human Resources.

Develops and coordinates Flight Attendant recognition programs

Creates, manages and establishes routine upkeep guidelines for In-
Flight personnel files to ensure compliance with legal and
contractual requirements.

Oversees In-Flight initiatives assigned to Supervisors and devises
action plans.

Develops and implements procedures to track the reduction of
Flight Attendant lost time due to illness, injury and missed trips.

Departmental responsibility for the In-Flight Service Manager
program.

Coordinates preparation of departmental budget in concert with
Senior Director.

Travels with crews on World Airways quarterly.

Acts as Department Head in absence of the Senior Director In-
Flight Services.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Director In-Flight
Services or other Senior Management staff.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and/or Experience

Bachelors Degree with 8-10 years in-flight service experience or
Masters Degree with 6-8 years in-flight service experience (or
equivalent combination of education and experience).

Minimum of 4 6 years in-flight managerial/supervisory experience.

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Solid leadership skills, including persuasion/negotiation skills.

Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent Organization and time management skills

Strong coaching and counseling skills

Labor Relations knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel. Powerpoint, and Publisher.

C. Travel Requirements

Occasional Traveler (5-20% travel): The incumbent will be
required to travel on occasion. Trips may require air travel and/or
overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
