I. SUMMARY

Under general supervision this position is responsible for
routine supervision of the Flight Attendant group, including
participation in procedure/policy development,
enforcement and the administration of disciplinary action
and commendation as appropriate.

II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises all World Airways’ flight attendants.

Provides administrative direction and coordination of the
monthly scheduling of all online Supervisors as directed
by the In-flight management team.

Monitors absenteeism by diligent use of Absenteeism
Control Program as described in the Flight Attendant
Manual.

Monitors Flight Attendant Status Report by running
absentee report from AIMS in coordination with crew
scheduling and payroll, reviewing for accuracy.

Investigates and follows up on Flight Attendant and
Supervisor Trip Reports and distribute copies to all
affected departments.

Reviews Special Pay Requests (SPR) when necessary
forwarding to appropriate department for approval or
denial.

Reviews all expense reports for completion and accuracy.
If acceptable, forward to Sr. Manager of In-flight Services
Operations for approval.

Investigates disciplinary cases and determine course of
action with HR and Inflight management.

Attends and moderates all disciplinary hearings involving
Flight Attendants in your assigned group.

Updates, files and maintains all Flight Attendant
departmental personnel files.

Coordinates with crew scheduling to assist crews and
schedulers as issues arise.

Coordinates with Training Department to meet Flight
Attendant FAA requirements.

Provide assistance to Flight Attendants inquiring about
uniform replacement items.

Coordinate with, investigate, and follow up with
appropriate departments, i.e. Finance, Crew Travel, to
resolve financial issues relating to Flight Attendant credit
card usage, misunderstandings or airfare banking
discrepancies.

Coordinates with, investigates, and follows up with
financial monthly audit reports as they pertain to the Flight
Attendants.

Coordinates with and assists Department Assistant with
the assembly, sorting and copying of monthly Flight
Attendant bid packages.

Travels a minimum schedule of 2 months with crews to
interact and ensure consistent compliance with grooming,
attendance and passenger service policies.

Alternates 12-hour shifts in the Operational Control Center
(OCC) with other Inflight Supervisors.

Alternates the “duty phone” for one week every 5-7 weeks
providing 24/7 contact with the scheduling department to
resolve online Flight Attendant issues.

Performs all other administrative duties as assigned by In-
flight management

III. QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials
necessary to perform the essential functions of this
position. To be successful in this position, an individual

A.Education and/or Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related
field with four to six years related experience (or equivalent
combination of education and experience).

•Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.

•Minimum of five years experience as a Flight Attendant; to
include Flight Attendant qualification. Must possess
thorough knowledge of FAA Regulations.

•Experience with Flight Attendant union contracts.

•International experience is preferred.

B.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

•Strong knowledge of FAA requirements and must become
proficient with regard to Company Policies, Procedures
and IBT contractual requirements.

•Strong negotiation and persuasion skills in an effort to
lead teams and influence others.

•Customer service orientated with the ability to stay attuned
to customer needs and expectations.

•Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and
written).

•Solid ability to understand and communicate within a
technical or specialized subject-matter, particularly as it
pertains to In-flight policies and union contractual
procedures.

•Must have the ability to take initiative on a given task or
project and persist with the project to its completion.

•Strong coaching and counseling skills

•Ability to identify problems, their sources, and their
potential solutions while continuing to successfully
conduct day-to day operations without interruption.

•Must have a strong command of reasoned, measured
decision making based upon analyzing the pros and cons
of each potential decision to be made.

•Must possess a strong ability to multi task and manage
one’s own time.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

A. Travel Requirements

•Regular Traveler (20-50% travel): The incumbent will be
required to travel on a regular basis. Trips will require
international air travel and/or overnight stay away from
home for one or more nights.

B. Physical Demands

•This position requires the ability to perform general office
functions, including lifting work files up to ten pounds.

C. Work Environment

•Must be flexible and able to adapt to a challenging and
regularly changing environment based on the demands of
the operation. Must be self-motivated in a team-oriented
environment. Willing to think and work ‘outside the box’.

V.CERTIFICATIONS
•Flight Attendant Certification required.

•Must be willing to attend Flight Attendent “Initial Training”.
