Position: Flight Attendant (San Juan, PR)
Description: A Flight Attendant's duties consist of performing or assisting in the
areas of service and safety to passengers in-flight and on the
ground. Ensure passenger compliance with all safety requirements
and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

While performing in-flight and ground duties, a Flight Attendant
works in confined spaces of aircraft aisles and galleys. To provide
service to passengers and operate cabin equipment, a Flight
Attendant must stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift
moderately heavy objects from the floor to above shoulder level
and push and pull equipment such as moveable carts.

A Flight Attendant is in continuous contact with the public and from
time to time must handle unaccompanied minors, disorderly,
intoxicated, and irate passengers. A Flight Attendant cares for and
assists ill, injured, and incapacitated passengers and may
administer first aid in compliance with government and company
regulations.

In the event of an emergency, a Flight Attendant must be prepared
to rapidly evacuate passengers from an aircraft, provide
leadership, direction and assistance to passengers in accordance
with government and company regulations.

This position is for our domicile in San Juan, PR. Candidates
should already reside in Puerto Rico in order to be considered for
this position.

An ideal candidate is service oriented in addition to being neat, well
groomed and capable of making a positive impression. Candidates
must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the
English language and in our Caribbean bases, Spanish is also
preferred. Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely
basis. Must have a valid passport with the legal right to travel
to/from all countries American Eagle serves.

Minimum Age: 19

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: One (1) year of customer service experience

Citizenship: Legal right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements: All flight attendants are required to be
between 5 feet and 5 feet 11 inches tall. Corrected vision of at
least 20/50 in each eye. Must be able to lift, push and pull heavy
articles as required. Approximate weight of items handled by
Flight Attendants are 22-86 lbs. Ability to reach all emergency
equipment on all aircraft types. Hear and interpret chime system
on board aircraft and determine origin of the call. See and
interpret color-coded ceiling light panel indicators to determine
crew or passenger needs.
