POSITION TITLE: Analyst - Inf Policy-Procedures

POSITION PURPOSE:
Develop, publish, and maintain Inflight Manuals (printed
and virtual) for InFlight safety, operational policies and
procedures, and announcements in compliance with
Federal Aviation Regulations. Act as reference for Inflight
operations compliance issues.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develops, implements and maintains publication style
guide for all Inflight Manuals to ensure consistency in
terms, acronyms, abbreviations and formats
-Maintains, revises and coordinates publication and
distribution of all Inflight published manuals (printed and
virtual) using information mapping provided by SME in
each area including IEM, FAAP, ISSM and other service
manuals under development
-Responsible for Onboard Announcement Handbook
including revisions and all foreign language translation
publications.
-Coordinates with other internal departments to ensure
consistency in publications.
-Serves as a representative at interdepartmental
meetings, as required
-Participates as a facilitator on FAIT teams on
communications and Announcements
-Interfaces with counterparts at other airlines to ensure
manuals are aligned with industry standards
-Coordinates with Inflight training to ensure FA training
curriculum is current and aligned with published
standards
-Interfaces with Flight Operations, Customer Service,
Engineering, Quality Assurance, and InFlight Training
when developing new procedures
-Serves as a liaison with FAA Inspectors on FAA manual
compliance issues
-Researches InFlight policies and procedures of other
airlines
-Updates and revises operational policies based on
governmental directives
-Coordinates with Inflight Communication team on
publication of changes and updates with the flight
attendant work force
-Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned
by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/training
-At least 2 years experience working with manual
publications or in other communications-related field
-Knowledge of Company guidelines, Company/AFA
agreement, flight attendant duties and responsibilities and
InFlight procedures
-Knowledge of FARs, with ability to interpret and apply
regulations to procedures
-Strong analytical skills for research and data collection
-Demonstrated knowledge of technical manual
construction, and information mapping
-Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple,
concurrent projects, meet strict deadlines while balancing
workload with minimal supervision
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software; Adobe
FrameMaker experience preferred
-Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication
skills; approachable with professional demeanor
-Ability to work with all levels of management, employees,
government agencies and outside vendors
-Ability to perform well under pressure and to manage a
heavy and diverse workload
