Cabin Crew Manager Africa

Job Description
General Manager Cabin Services along with the Cabin Crew Manager will ensure that all Cabin Crew are skilled, professional, safe and secure in their duties.

GMCS will ensure that the recruitment, training and discipline of Cabin Crew are in accordance with company policy and within legal constraints.

GMCS is responsible for the recruitment of all company cabin crew.

GMCS is responsible for the training, performance and discipline of the Cabin Crew operating on the clients aircraft, even when employed by the client airline.

GMCS is to advise the DFO on all cabin safety-related issues, develop all training programmes for the company, especially where sub-contracted, and to ensure that these programmes are in accordance with the Cabin Crew Training Manual (Part D).

The GMCS along with the Cabin Crew Manager ensure that the cabin crew meet the company profile on recruitment.

Ensure that Cabin Service is carried out in accordance with company standards and that is maintained by regular audits and recurrent training.

Ensure that correct records are kept by the Cabin Crew Manager on cabin crew performance and that these records comply with legislation.

Ensure that cabin crew and cabin management comply with all necessary company and Nig.CARs.

Ensure that all disciplinary action is carried out by the Cabin Crew Manager in accordance with legal and company regulations.

Fully responsible for developing and managing the cabin services budget.

Ensure that departmental manuals and procedures are correct in content, issued to all cabin crew, amended and cross-checked and ensure that the correct number of cabin crew is available, as required by the customer airline, to meet the operational requirement.

To liaise with customer airline to review and improve safety standards and procedures for cabin crew.

Be a member of the Flight Safety and Security Group, specifically to contribute towards the development of proactive safety programme, regarding cabin safety.

The GM Cabin Services is part of the Senior Management team, reporting to the DFO and the Accountable Manager.

Qualifications:-

Effective written and oral communication skills in English

Previous expereince in an African country a MUST

Proven analytical skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Technical systems etc

Knowledge, eg Understanding of cultural issues,

Personal Qualities eg, ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision, flexible, creative, ability to prioritize in stressful environment
