Position: Inflight/Base/Duty Manager - Washington IAD Based
Description: In 2011, Aer Lingus will celebrate 75 years of providing
excellent customer service and currently operates a daily
scheduled service between Washington Dulles and
Madrid in conjunction with our code-share partner United
Airlines. We fly Airbus A330, twin aisle aircraft and provide
a business and economy class service.

We are currently looking for an Inflight/Base/Duty Manager
to join this base with its evolving, vibrant team.

To be considered for this position, applicants must be
able to meet the following essential criteria:

Essential Criteria
3-6 years related airline operations/customer service
experience.
Experience in a position of leadership/supervision.
Must satisfactorily complete a 10 year background check
and pass airport authority, plus CBP requirements, to
obtain necessary airport ID badge.
Possess US Passport or legal right to work in the US.
Ability to work long shifts back to back in the event of
delays, emergencies.
Ability to work any weekday, weekend, holidays, etc.
Available, on call 24/7.

Key Competencies:
Proven ability to make timely, clear-cut, well informed and
evaluated decisions.
A thorough knowledge of all aspects of the airline's group
operations procedures or the ability to acquire such
knowledge quickly.
Broad understanding and awareness of the commercial
challenges facing the business, combined with the ability
to think strategically and act operationally.
Results-focused solution delivery with proven effective
problem solving skills.
Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
combined with strong operational planning skills.
A sound knowledge and appreciation of complexity of
regulatory environment governing ground/airport
operations, or ability to acquire knowledge rapidly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
talent to present information articulately and objectively.
Basic computer/pc skills including Microsoft Office.

Desirable Criteria:
Spanish language skills, to suit the needs of our Madrid
clientele, a plus.

Scope of Responsibility:
One international flight daily.
Manages approximately 65-70 cabin crew
