Position: Manager Cabin Crew Performance (Abu Dhabi)
Description: An important role responsible for leading and managing a team of line managers who will manage the cabin crew in their fleet or division. The appropriate candidate will drive improvement in performance and consistency of crew and line managers in their division. The role also involves Deputizing for the Head of Cabin Crew Performance.
Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and managing a team of line managers to ensure effective management of all grades of cabin crew.

Through a team of line managers ensures safety and service consistency and quality. Ensures that the objectives and values of Etihad Airways are evident to guests on every flight and demonstrated by crew when operating away from base.

Together with stakeholders ensures crew and line manager performance measurements (KPIs/objectives) are established, communicated and implemented. Ensures feedback and follow up. Tracks measures and reports monthly. Develops plans and interventions to address key issues and to motivate crew.

Liaises with relevant service partners to address issues that affect the crew’s ability to deliver in key areas such as product, safety etc.

Manages relevant projects to improve and develop leadership and crew management in IFS.

Ensures thorough investigation and evaluation of any incidents and shortfalls in crew performance including safety and service issues. Takes necessary action and recommends improvements as a result

Ensures crew are well managed and recognition and discipline are consistently and fairly handled.

Manages team in line with good people management practices, Etihad regulations and legal requirements. Role models excellent management and leadership skills
Requirements

Qualifications and Education:
Will have a degree from a recognised university or a professional qualification in business and people management, or the equivalent.

Experience:

* At least 2 years in a management position in a full service airline.
*
Previous flying experience is desirable.
*
Experience working in a multi cultural environment would be beneficial.
*
Experience in successfully managing a large team and an absent workforce.
*
Past experience implementing change management initiatives.


Training:

Open to continuous personal development in order to respond to changing business requirements and a developing role.
The Individual

Excellent knowledge of people management process and leadership techniques. Understands the demands of managing a large multicultural work group in an airline or hospitality environment. Able to produce basic reports on performance – has the necessary relevant IT skills. Good understanding and knowledge of airline safety, cabin crew issues and management. Good project management skills. Understanding of the culture and values of the UAE.
