Position: Flight Specialist

St. Pete/Clearwater Airport

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The primary job function for the flight specialist is to schedule all
Avantair flights under FAA regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The flight specialist is responsible for setting the schedule for
Avantair flights and proactively avoiding the following issues:

Maintenance constraints

Crew duty

Crew currency

Weather

Notams, TFR's, etc.

Aircraft performance

Weight and balance

Airport restrictions
This position is responsible for logging and releasing all Avantair
flights under FAA regulations.

Proactively anticipating regional demand and building a schedule
contingent with aircraft availability.

Reviewing owner trip request and approving or denying based on
aircraft performance.

Responsible for day to day operational changes and recovering
any owner flights when necessary.

Responsible for arranging all international paperwork including:
Canpass, Apis, Gendec's, etc.

Responsible for keeping the integrity of the Avantair flight schedule.

Flight Specialist runs an optimization of the flights scheduled on
Flight Ops.

Verifies the aircraft is airworthy and all scheduled inspections and
maintenance has been performed based on information input by
maintenance control personnel.

Plays a key role in the demonstration approval process.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must possess analytical foresight and problem solving skills

Must be flexible with hours

Must have solid customer service background.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
4 year college degree or equivalent experience in aviation
