Pinnacle Manager

Position: Base Manager, Inflight (ATL)
Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

§ Works under the direction and supervision of the Director of Inflight Services.

§ Participates in the evaluation of crewmembers as required.

§ Administers FAR’s and Contract as applicable to Flight Attendants.

§ Assist in the development of a balanced program of discipline and for conducting investigations and interviews when violations of company policy or federal regulations occur.

§ Exercises supervision over all Inflight Supervisors, Inflight Staff and Flight Attendants and administers discipline as required.

§ Monitors and controls the Base’s Flight Operations budget.

§ Participates in budget review and reporting process.

§ Establishes and maintains a close professional relationship with all departments to maintain an efficient operation.

§ Evaluate established standards of performance and appearance for the Base’s Inflight Services Department.

§ Monitors Base performance (delays/completion) to ensure the Base’s efficient daily flight operations.

§ Assist in the audit process for the internal evaluation of flight operations and participates in NASIS Program as established by the Vice-President of Safety.

§ Tracks and communicates all crew communication reports.

§ Participates in scheduled departmental staff meetings.

§ Assists in the maintaining of flight attendant files.

§ Contributes to the development of education material with regard to line standards.

§ Concentrates efforts on time limited projects as assigned by the Director of Inflight Services.

§ Develops lines of communication with departments and individuals required to complete assigned projects.

§ Monitors crew health, welfare and morale, making recommendations on improvement programs.

§ Monitors the distribution of Company material to flight crews.

§ Maintains high levels of knowledge in the following areas: Company Policy, Express Airlines FAM, FAA Regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreement and Operations Specifications.

§ Coordinates with Crew Resources in maintaining flight schedules for flight attendants.

§ Assures that all Flight Attendant manuals, check lists and other required publications and/or equipment are maintained in a current and serviceable manner.

OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs additional functions that may be assigned from time to time.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Some repetitive motion such as typing. Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags and electronic equipment not in excess of 40 lbs. Can involve long periods of sitting.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a non-flying position involving office work/ airport operations in all types of weather. Airport ramp operations are noisy and can be hazardous without due caution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A four-year college degree and/or four years of airline operations experience, or the equivalent. Must possess excellent leadership, communication, inter-personal and organizational skills. Experience in supervising a large group of people preferred. Must have a working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and Employee Contract Administration. Must possess a high level of computer/typing skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work extra hours when necessary. Extensive travel is required. Must possess valid drivers license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s), must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
